First aid, and Pro CPR - CCSDC

April 25-27 2007, another batch of CCSDC caregiving students took our First aid and Pro CPR course.

Due to the positive feedback and the advantages of taking our International Courses for Emergency Care, the CCSDC management has decided to let our Training Center handle the First aid training and certification for their students.

Once again the students were issued handbooks for both courses. On the third day, a simulation was again conducted and was held in Mountain View Resort.

Mountain View Resort is a 30 minute ride from the City. The place is suitable not only for family outing but for everyone who loves nature. Simply a great place for outing as well as enjoyment.

Another Caregiving School

I was just called up by the Admin Officer of another Caregiving School who has a branch in Cebu City and Toledo City. It seems that they are interested for Emergency Care Training for caregiving module in First aid and CPR.

The admin officer is a Registered Nurse who have joined my course previously. She have endorsed our training center to the Board of Directors of the School and I was given an advance information that its almost a done deal.

I am just awaiting for the final confirmation as to the date and as to how many students will be joining the course.

This is again another boost to our dream to provide training to different individuals and enhance first aid and safety in the community as well as prepare the participants in thier upcoming jobs most especially in the field of healthcare and emergency.

Oakridge Realty First Aid Training

March 19, 2007 I was invited by the Office of Civil Defense to speak about First aid and Firefighting in one of their Disaster Management Seminar.

The Oakridge Realty Development Corporation located in A. S. Fortuna Street, Banilad Mandaue City have requested the OCD to conduct the Disaster Management Seminar for thier building tenants.

The corporation actually has several poeple occupying thier building. These are employees of different companies that have rented the Oakridge Building for business purposes.

As part of thier safety program, they have asked the different companies to send a representative to join the Disaster Management Seminar.

I have the whole day to discuss my topics which are divided into two. First aid and Firefighting Basics.

Benedicto College of Nursing

Another nursing school has acquired our services to provide First aid and CPR training to their 4th year nursing students. Dated March 15-17, 2007.

The Benedicto College of Nursing located in Mandaue City, Cebu Philippines. The training was sperheaded by one of the Clinical Instructor who earlier took our ECSI First aid and Pro CPR Providers Course.

The course was good for three days considering that the participants and the clinical instructors wanted a simulation on first aid and response.

In my own opinion it is also great to have such kind of activity since this will give the participants a chance to apply in practicality the things that they have learned during the course.

New Instructors for Basic Lifesaving

I have recieve the Instructors Card from ECSI for the four participants who have attended the Instructors Development Course in Male, Maldives. It was a very welcome development since they are planning to conduct thier first Emergency Care Course in their area on their own.

In case I have not mentioned, the four participants were all Indian nationals and are holding key positions in the resort where they are working. As they have told me, they are also planning to train people in thier country to share to their people the importance of safety training as well the opportunity to save lives.

India's economy has risen due to its outsourcing capabilities. Many people have found job in call centers and other outsourcing jobs. Many businesses have opened up giving job opportunities to hundreds if not thousands of people.

A typical example of outsourcing companies are those that provide India Translation, Arabic Translation, Hindi Translation. This is actually a great system since all you need to do is email the company and request for a qoutation.

Practically, the translation is not only limited to the languages stated above. For more information click here.

If you are looking for translations of documents and preparation of text documents that is intended for online purposes and even in for ofline set up, give them a visit here Translation India.

Disaster Management Seminar - CEMEX

This is our very first Disaster Management Seminar wherein our training center was the one who made the coordination with the Office of Civil Defense Coordinater.

Mrs. Estrelleta Escanan the Office of Civil Defense provincial coordinator was the first speaker. She explained to the participants topics about disaster and other related subjects including the government's programs for disaster.

This was followed by the Philvocs Officer in Charge Mr. Jorge Robinson. Topics such as Earthquake, Tsunami, Tidal Waves and other natural disasters were the main discussion from the good Philvocs officer.

Since the training was requested by CEMEX corporation (formerely APO cement), it is there prerogative to decide which topics or subjects are to be incorporated during the seminar. As mentioned above, the topics were handled by the OCD Coordinator and by the Philvocs officer.

The next two days of training is about First aid and CPR since the company wanted a more elaborative discussion on the Emergency Care Subjects.

Larmen De Guia Memorial College

We are very excited on this new development. A Nursing School in Cebu has contacted us to provide First aid and Pro CPR training for thier students. This is in line with their Emergency Nursing Program which usually falls under the level IV subject or for 4th year level subject.

Larmen De Guia Memorial College, a nursing school located in Mandaue City, Cebu has acquired our services for Emergency Nursing Program. The program involves First aid, CPR, Bandaging, Emergency Transportation, Splinting, Triage and Rescue Simulation.

During this particular training, we have adjusted the course to fit thier needs. The whole instructors of our training center were in full force during the training to assist and supervise the practical aspect of the training.

More than 80 students joined the program which started from March 7 to March 9 of 2007. The first and second day were held at the school campus and the last day for the first aid and rescue simulation was held at Family Park in Talamban, Cebu City.

It was again a very successful training, so and so that the school administration has advised us that they will be requesting our services for the next batch for the next school year.

Here is a few background information about the Nursing School:

The LARMEN DE GUIA MEMORIAL COLLEGE was founded in 2003 by Madam Socorro L. de Guia in memory of her parents: Dr. Larry de Guia, a renowned orthopedic physician in Cebu, and Carmen Lozada de Guia, a lady of courage and solid values, who both exerted a great influence on the lives and careers of Madam de Guia and her four brothers, Jose Mari, Eladio, Ernesto and Laurentino, Jr.

The College is a non-stock, non-profit and non-sectarian higher education institution managed by Filipino educators and recognized by the Commission on Higher Education under the Office of the President of the Philippines. First aid and Pro CPR - March 3-4, 2007

A group of Registered Nurses have requested us to conduct First aid and Pro CPR course. This is again another break for our training center. If you notice, we have just finished our course with CCSDC caregiving school and yet again we have to give conduct this course for this group of Registered Nurses.

We could have let them joined the CCSDC since practically the course for the group is the same, that is First aid and Pro CPR. However, though both groups belong to healthcare providers setting, we find it more appropriate to separate the RN's from caregivers.

First aid and CPR is actually part of the Emergency Nursing subject if you take up Bachelor of Science in Nursing. Usually during the 3rd year or 4th year of the Nursing Course.

As usual, the course went on smoothly and the participants appreciated the course so much so and so that some participants who are clinical instructors in some Nursing Universities informed us that they will endorse our training center to deliver Emergency Nursing subject to their respective Nursing students.

The Caregiving Advantage

As you have noticed, we have already conducted two First aid, and Pro CPR courses on CCSDC. I find it necesarry to give you a background on the Cebu Caregiving Studies and Development Center.

CCSDC have been around for quite a time. In fact they started 9 years ago. They have already trained a lot of caregivers and have sent lots of successful caregivers abroad.

Long before I started with our training center, I have been delivering First aid, CPR training to their students since the rescue unit that I once worked were the ones who conducted First aid training to their students.

When I resigned from the unit, the management of the school decided that I should continue delivering the courses to their students.

The Cebu Caregiving Studies and Development Center is located in Mel Go Building, Sanciangko St. Cebu City.

The Cargiving Program is about 6 to 7 months program. It includes different modules from Childcare, Care for the Elderly, Home Management and many other programs. For a complete guide, visit CCSDC.

First Aid and Pro CPR

After a succesful course on First aid and Pro CPR with Cebu Caregiving Studies and Development Center ( CCSDC) in Cebu, the caregiving school administration has decided to implement a compulsory First Aid and Pro CPR international completion cards for their students. This has been due to the overwhelming positive response on the first batch of caregiving students who have taken the course.

Moreover, having the international cards carries greater advantages in terms of applying and working abroad considering that the course completion cards are internationally acceptable.

On February 28 2007 to March 2, the second batch of Caregiving Students from CCSDC toke the First aid and Pro CPR course. As usual, each students were provided with First aid and Pro CPR handbooks during the course.

Again the course was very succesful and the students gave a very high and positive evaluation of the course.

A total of ten participants joined each day bringing the total to 60 all in all. Most of the participants admitted that it was there first time to attend such kind of training and was very much interested with the course.
